Conquering: Fidget Rings

So I am on a never-ending quest to find the perfect fidget, and the journey continues with my latest fidget, the Conquering Fidget Ring. I really like the idea of fidget jewelry, but the idea is inherently hard to achieve. It has to be pretty and functional, so let's take a look at how the Conquering did!

The overall idea of the Conquering is that you get a ring band with a stone/pendant (which they call elements) that snaps into the band. Interesting idea so far, definitely different from the typical slider-type fidgets.

They do have a TON of different elements to choose from, which is a good selling point for me. I ended up getting three items, though I could have easily gotten more if I wasn't just trying it out. They are a tad on the expensive side, which also stopped me from ordering more elements.

They shipped out my order four days after I purchased it, which is pretty slow in my books, so that was a slight ding to the overall experience.

I ordered the Black Classic Ring Band in a size 9, the Siren Surprise Round Element in silver, and the TwinPoint Crystal Element in Black Picasso Jasper.

I used a sewing tape measure along with the site's guide to estimate my size. I'm typically an eight, but the guide said to go with a nine, so I went with their recommendation. I'm glad I did. I wanted the ring to be easily taken off so I could fiddle with it and not so loose that it would fall off. The nine hit both those criteria! The ring band isn't completely round like a typical ring; rather, it is a U shape, so I could see it being a little loose for some who want the typical ring snugness. Just something to keep in mind when figuring out your size.

The site says the bands and elements are made out of stainless steel. I have worn mine for about two weeks, and no tarnishing or skin discoloration has happened, so I'm pretty happy with the material quality. The band I picked out is pretty plain, but that's fine for me since the star would be the element. I also appreciate that they had options in black, which is a huge plus for me!

Now to the elements!

This seems to be their signature style, and there are a lot of different ways to order this element.

I was worried about this one since the site uses natural stones, and they stated there could be some differences in how the stone looks compared to the picture. My worries were for naught since the stone I received was really pretty! It's a matte finish that pairs well with the coloration. So as a ring, it is very nice, and I would wear it on the regular. The element itself is a little pointy at the top and bottom, which makes the fidgeting experience not great as it pokes your fingers. The way the stone is shaped makes it a little challenging to pop the element out of the band, thus limiting another fidgeting aspect. Overall, not a great fidget, and if this was the only element, I probably wouldn't recommend the ring.

I really liked this one! I love the stamped mermaid look, and the picture is very pretty. The mermaid is clear without being muddy, and the pose is nice without being too complicated or off-putting. The round element just seems to go better with the fidgeting experience. It snaps in and out well and it twirls well, which is the optimum fidget ring. I'm obsessed and have worn this ring constantly! The only concern I have is that the element can slightly be popped out without falling out of the ring band, which leaves the ring unstable. I lost this element after two weeks of messing with it, and before that, had it fall out a handful of times when I wasn't super careful about popping it back into place.

All in all, I really like this ring and will likely order more! I definitely recommend you check out Conquering for your fidget needs!
