Gnoce Charm Bracelet

I have never been someone to care about expensive jewelry thus missed the charm bracelet trend altogether but, for some reason, I was all of a sudden inundated with ads on social media for Gnoce charm bracelets. The pictures showed tons of cute charms and advertised “Buy 2 Get 2 Free!” so I was intrigued (plus I'm a sucker for social media ads, what can I say?😅).

So lets start off with first impressions, the name 'Gnoce' does not inspire confidence that this is not some knock off, cheap brand. But I looked around to assure it was a legit site and it appeared so. The website feels…fishy, which did not instill hope that I wasn't just lighting my money on fire. What I mean is that there are timers counting down on “limited offers” that never actually end and the ads push an urgency that is obviously false (i.e. 'Sale ends today!' then having the same sale for weeks afterwards, each day pressuring that the sale is going to end). They also noted in the email confirmation and in an insert in the box that they have perks to get discounts if you post on social media. I have no problem with this, but the continual pushing of this program makes me think that people would give it a positive review to get something back.

A note, I did not receive any compensation or free items for this review. I strive to provide my honest opinion without bias in any direction and that's what you get here 😊

(An example of one of the pages showing the timers mentioned and 'limited time deals')

Despite my initial concerns, I did get the products I ordered and the quality seems to be there. The box was nicely packaged so that the bracelet and the charms weren't knocking around in the box, which shows me that they definitely put some effort into their product. Gnoce advertises that the charms and bracelets are made with 925 sterling silver. Without personally testing the metal purity, I can’t confirm whether these are sterling silver or just plated metal. But in day-to-day wear, none of the charms nor the bracelet I received turned my skin green or gave my skin a reaction, so I'm happy with the quality of the metal used!

One of the biggest draws to Gnoce and their bracelets is the sheer range of charms. I literally looked at every page for the charms and there was TONS. They have intellectual properties, essential oils charms, charms where you can customize with pictures, SO MANY with so much variety! Since the site was advertising 'Buy 2 Charms, Get 2 Free' with a bracelet as a free gift, I bought four charms total. The bracelet came with my order plus the a nice surprise of a safety charm, which was critical to keeping the charms from falling off so it is a huge bonus that they included that with the bracelet.

Here are the four charms I got and a little breakdown of my thoughts for each:

Medusa Head

This one is a little hard to read in person, but it is still really cool! I like the calm face rather than how Medusa is often portrayed (screaming). The little snakes catch on stuff like shirts, but the insane amount of details that they fit into this little charm lets me forgive them for this tiny issue.

Birth of Venus

Again, the amount of detail into a charm that is the size of my thumb nail is nuts! I really like this charm, it is pretty and pays homage to the original art. A nice thing to note, Gnoce charms are full charms, meaning that it is not just the front that has design. A little detail but something that goes a long way in terms of quality for me.

Alice In Wonderland 'Drink Me'

This one is my favorite (and it was the most expensive unfortunately). The liquid inside is very satisfying and the purple glittery stuff moves around the liquid freely, which isn't the case for a lot of these types of charms. I also really like the small detail that the 'Drink Me' tag is a real chain around the bottleneck, so it moves independently from the bottle. The quality of these charms really surprised me in a positive way!

Black Pearl Castle

I thought this one was going to be my favorite, but it ended up being my least favorite. The pearl is bulbous and the chain in the foreground is not connected, meaning it swings freely but you can't pull it through the loops. The whole charm is a little complicated in a negative way and the idea of what it was supposed to be gets lost. I would recommend all the other ones I bought except for this one.

So, if you are an eagle eyed viewer, you might have noticed that the Gnoce name is ALL OVER these charms. I'm not a fan of that, I dislike loud branding on items overall and Gnoce is one of the more egregious offenders of this. Minus a few points for that.

Another negative is that the bracelets come from China, which is not a negative in and of itself, but it did take forever for the package to arrive. In the age of Amazon Prime, I'm very impatient when it comes to packages so what use to be a reasonable few weeks for a package feels like an eternity nowadays.

Final Verdict

Would I recommend a Gnoce bracelet? Yeah, I would! It was a reasonable price for what I consider to be a quality product. I would definitely recommend it if you were trying to get specific charms that they have licensed if those interest you.

Now, I have no experience with other brands of charms like this so I have no idea how the quality holds up to others like Pandora. What I will tell you is that I will not spend the kind of money on charms that brands like Pandora is asking for so Gnoce seems like a good compromise if you are in the market for a charm bracelet or even if you are looking for just for charms!
