Oats Overnight Review

First off, it seems as though Oats Overnight gives you a pretty good deal from the get go. I got 45% off the sticker price plus a free shaker bottle and a free R&D flavor. This makes sense that they want to hook you in with a good deal so you stay on their subscription plus it gives you an opportunity to try several flavors for less. I don't like the subscription model, but the company does make it pretty easy to cancel it.

So I cooked these a bunch of different ways and deviated from the instructions pretty hard. I will note what changes I made with each flavor.

Mixed Berries and Cream:

5oz of Unsweetened Vanilla Almond milk and left in the fridge. My first and favorite so far. It was a little grainy at 8 hours so I left it for 24 hours, which remedied the graininess. It is sweet and the berry flavor really comes through.

Cookies and Cream:

I let these sit for 24 hours in the fridge with 5oz of Unsweetened Vanilla Almond milk. This flavor is gross 🤢 tastes like you took the black Oreo cookie part and grinded it up with a small amount of milk. When I get cookies and cream flavored things, I want an equal balance of cookies and cream. This is all cookie, which highlights why they make double stuffed Oreos and not quadruple cookie Oreos.

Boston Cream:

1 minute in the microwave with 6oz of Unsweetened Original Almond milk. Another gross one, this tastes like you bought a Krispy Kreme Boston Cream donut from the gas station left it in your car for two days in the hot sun then licked off the runny frosting. Another one where the cream element is completely missing so the weird chocolate aspect is all that's left.

Carrot Cake:

1 minute in the microwave with 6oz of Unsweetened Vanilla Almond milk. Carrot cake eh? No, just no. This is a pure mouth full of cinnamon. Carrot cake has cream cheese frosting, carrot cake has complex flavors. This has none of that. Didn't like it at all.

Blueberry Cobbler:

1 minute in the microwave with 6oz of Unsweetened Vanilla Almond milk. This one is pretty good. It has dehydrated blue berries in it, which adds a depth to the flavor. Would I choose this over a slice of cobbler for the same calories? No way, but it is leaps and bounds above many of the other flavors.

Chocolate Satin Pie:

1 minute in the microwave with 6oz of Unsweetened Original Almond milk. Very chocolate, obviously. I'm not a huge chocolate flavored stuff fan, but if you like chocolate then I'm sure you would like this.

Fruity Cereal:

1 minute in the microwave with 6oz of Unsweetened Vanilla Almond milk. This is supposed to be Fruit Loops and it tastes good! It is more akin to Fruity Pebbles, but I'm not going to split hairs. It's fruity and creamy and pretty yummy!

Okay so after eating all the ones I listed I pretty much stopped trying them and they have sat in my pantry untouched, which I think says all that needs to be said about Oats Overnight. Not my thing and overall too many calories for too little tastiness. I might suggest them if you like overnight oats and want a company that has a ton of different flavors. If you are new to overnight oats, I would go with something a little simpler with less options.
